La Nucia is a village with approximately 20.000 inhabitants, located 51 km north from the city of Alicante in the north of the Costa Blanca, only 10 km from Benidorm, 5 km of Alfaz del Pi and 7 km from Altea. La Nucia is well known for its superb infrastructure, parks and clean and well maintained streets and the famous and award-winning sports complex Camilo Cano, destination of athletes from all over Europe. La Nucia is an elegant residential area, its 69 developments are occupied by both Spanish and foreign residents throughout the year, which has not altered the habits or the esthetics of a quiet village. The municipal territory is a green carpet of pine and fruit trees that runs a series of small elevations of land. Aitana and Aixortá mountains protect the town from the cold northern winds allowing it keeping an average annual temperature of 15ºC. On Sunday morning one of the most impressive used items rakes in the province takes place in the centre.
